Georgia

Georgia: the land of trekking, cheap wine and cheese dumplings. Georgia first peaked my interest while I was traveling in Turkey and kept hearing great things about it. Containing the Caucasus Mountains, the country is full of trekking opportunities. People also raved about the kindness of Georgians and how delicious and cheap the wine is. I filed Georgia in the back of my mind as a place to visit. Finally in June 2018 the timing was right and I visited this friendly country.

I flew into the capital city of Tbilisi.

While there I had the pleasure of sampling the world renown Georgian Cuisine.

My true purpose for coming to Georgia was to trek in the Caucasus Mountains. I spent 16 days in Georgia and ten of those days were spent trekking. Read the two posts below to find out why so many nature lovers choose Georgia as their trekking destination.
