Guatemala

Guatemala is the first place I’ve traveled to that I’ve felt truly stuck in. I initially planned to stay there for 5 weeks and ended up there for 3 months. Lake Atitlan is a center point of mystical energy and San Pedro now occupies the warmest corner of my heart. Guatemala has knocked Thailand and Nepal from the top of my “Favorite Places in the World” list. I cannot emphasize enough how enthralling and full of adventure this country is. Full of volcanoes, Mayan ruins, colonial cities,remote villages, waterfalls and coastline it really offers something for every type of traveler.
