Keep in mind that I wrote this in 2017 before I started traveling and information might not be up to date.
Food
Kitchen 24 on Cahuenga and Selma- cute interior with chandeliers made of cutlery and pink accents. Open 24 hours a day, 6 days a week with a decent happy hour and a skillet cookie that is to die for! Ask for Twilight if you sit at the bar!
25 Degrees at The Roosevelt- On Hollywood Blvd near Orange St, this restaurant/bar is open continuously with a nice employee named Roger.
Dinosaur- near the crossing of Sunset and Fountain, this coffee shop has a cool vibe with pink accents and fur.
Bolt EaHo– a coffee shop on Hollywood and Wilton.
The Melt Sunset & Vine- Gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, cheese fries, and plastic cups full of wine, this place has an urban feel with orange accents.

Mimi’s Cafe– located in Los Feliz, a French inspired restaurant with seriously delicious food and an amazing staff.
Sunday Farmers Market on Ivar and Selma- this place has delicious fruits and vegetables, street food including $5 tofu Pad Thai, and often live music.
Drinks
Pig n Whistle– located on Hollywood Blvd, this small bar gets fun on a Friday night. Ask for Kristin at the bar!
Davey Wayne’s Good Times– a retro bar with live music and a refrigerator door that you enter through.
Public House– My favorite bar in Los Feliz, it has pool tables on the top floor!
Rusty Mullet– this place is extremely ratchet late at night on the weekends, it is on Hollywood Blvd after all. However, if you buy a drink, chug it and then dance outside on the sidewalk, it can be fun. Inside is too crowded though.
The Bungalow– on Wilshire Blvd in Santa Monica, it has funky rooms, a garden and cool lighting.
Harvard and Stone– a hipster bar often hosting live music, located on Harvard and Hollywood.
Cha Cha Lounge– go here to take pictures in the photo booth.
Beaches
Manhattan Beach– my favorite Beach if I have access to a car.
Santa Monica Beach– Easily accessible by bus, from Hollywood it costs $1.50 to get to the beach. Santa Monica has the promenade, the pier and then the actual beach as well.
Hikes
Runyon Canyon- You can go up the mountain or down into the valley where you will find rock art.
Bronson Park– Mostly unknown, this park has caves as well as hiking trails that eventually lead to the Hollywood Sign.

Griffith Park– this place is huge, you could spend days exploring different areas of this park. Many people like to hike to the observatory for the view and to learn facts about the solar system.
Malibu Waterfall– Hiking to Escondido falls is stunning though definitely a harder trail to get to unless you have a car. For information on how to find the trailhead go to this website.
